Trips and Visits

This page tells you about trips which are being planned to visit AMEN partners in various parts of the world and to let you know of visits planned by our partners in the near future.

     

We had two exciting trips this autumn. 

   

In August Gareth and Malou Bolton led an Oak Hall ATOM (A Taste of Mission) trip to Philippines where the people visiting worked amongst the poor in the slums of Manila.

    

Then, between 9th and 16th December 2011  Chris Chatfield and Sandra Lemming led a 7 day trip to Romania to show people the work of our partners and to distribute shoeboxes and other gifts. Three ladies from Yorkshire were part of this trip and have produced a video diary - click here to watch it.

    

At present we have no firm dates set for trips in 2012, but if there is sufficient interest we are considering:

 

Romania in August -  an opportunity to spend a week helping our partners. This will probably mean an opportunity to help Dave McGuire with building projects, Manna Church with children's camps, and Jill Ascough with her work with ladies in the gypsy villages.

 

India in October - an opportunity to travel round and visit our partners in India. This will be similar to the successful trip held in 2010 - click here to see a short video made by one of the people on that trip. 

 

Romania in December - distributing shoeboxes to the poor and seeing the work of our partners.

Visits to your church or group in UK

   

AMEN Trustees are always willing to come to visit groups and churches to talk about the work of our partners and to encourage you by the exciting stories of what our God is doing.

   

But from time to time we have visits to the UK by our partners and this represents an opportunity for you to hear first hand how God is leading them and the challenges and opportunities which they have where they are working for the gospel.
