Supporting Christian Ministries in Developing Countries

Casa Vietii - "House of Life" - Romania

Every day, 2 out of 4 Romanian children are killed in the womb.

Romania has the 2nd highest abortion rate in the world.

In the year 2000, an estimated 800,000 babies were killed.

•  Abortion is wiping out Romania's next generation.

Casa Vietii was set up by a group of Christians to be a response to these horrific statistics. To show the love of God to women in  very difficult situations and to provide them with advice - both spiritual and physical.

Counselling Centre

Our centre offers free pregnancy test, advice on family planning and counselling in every area of family life.

We believe that every life, born or unborn is a gift from God that must be treasured. Romania has the highest rate of abortions in Europe. We educate women about the abortion procedure and the damage it does physically, emotionally and spiritually and to offer the ladies other alternatives. We also offer practical help such as baby clothes, pushchairs, medical assistance, baby food, bedding etc.

Medical Centre

In response to a need that has been found in and around Sighisoara, a medical centre with some accommodation has been built adjacent to the Counselling Centre.

The need for the centre is great. There are ladies in the villages who are pregnant, and either can't afford or are afraid to see a doctor. Children also need basic medical attention, and the nearest hospital is poorly equipped and expensive. We offer not only education in medical matters but also support the ladies and encourage them to come to the hospital and take care of themselves especially during and after pregnancy.

In the past ladies and young girls have turned up on the doorstep without shelter, and caring for a small child or baby. Their families have abandoned them and left them to sleep on the street or in the train station along with their babies. Romanian winters are harsh and many times temperatures fall as low as –40 degrees.

We now have the basic facilities to help some of them – but with more funding and more supporters we could offer so much more.

Village work

Bible studies, We believe that with spiritual growth many of the pro-life issues will be resolved. Our wish for these ladies to know Gods love for  themselves in a personal and real way.

School work

One of our objectives is informing and educating teenagers in the area of abortion, Sexually transmitted diseases, alcoholism, smoking, drug and sexual abuse and abstinence.  We believe that the most efficient way of approaching the problems that plague this society is  prevention.

Can you help?

You can support Casa Vietii in several ways. First we value your prayers for us and our ministry. Second we need urgent financial support to enable the work to grow - the need is enormous. Third we welcome individuals and teams of people from churches coming out to help in very practical ways. You will read about these in our newsletters above.

To make a tax deductible donation in US, please do this through www.chooselifehuntsville.org

To make a donation elsewhere in the world (and to use UK gift aid) to Casa Vietii through AMEN please continue down this page.

How you can help ...

We would very much appreciate all help you can give to the work of AMEN and our partners - your prayers, a visit, and donations..

If you are able to make a regular monthly donation that would be wonderful and would help us to plan ahead. Click on the picture on the left to set up a standing order with your bank using a paper form or online using Worldpay.

If you would prefer to make a one-off donation then that would also be much appreciated - please click on the picture on the left and either arrange to send us a cheque or you can give online using Worldpay

Thank you for your generosity.

In both cases, if you are a UK tax payer we would ask you to make a Gift Aid declaration. This will help us to increase the gift which you give to us - courtesy of the UK government - at no cost to yourself. You only need to do this once and it covers all future donations. A declaration is included in each of the forms above - if you are making your donation on line then please select the correct option below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Even if you are a UK tax payer you can only claim gift aid if you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that we reclaim on your donations in the tax year (28% of your gift).
