The AMEN Team 
       

The AMEN team is made up of the people who financially support the charity, the people who are supported, and the volunteers who enable the charity to operate. 

   

Without the contributions of all of these people we would not be able to serve God and further the Gospel in the way that we do. 

   

The pictures on the right show times when AMEN Trustees have met with our partners either in their own countries or on visits to UK.

   

Gareth and Malou

Gareth and Malou Bolton

Founders of AMEN. Gareth and Malou also work for Operation Mobilisation. Apart from the details on the Welcome Page of this Web Site you can find out more about them and their work by going to www.garethandmalou.org. Gareth and Malou’s home base is in Dartford where they are members of Dartford Community Church.

   

Gareth is Chairman of Trustees and in addition to these duties keeps in regular contact with our African partners. Malou does a lot of the work on producing brochures and newsletters for AMEN.

      

Chris Chatfield

Chris lives in Worthing and is MD of his own company operating a fleet of 40+ buses and coaches. Chris has always had an interest in world mission and believes that God has called him to be involved in various overseas projects. He has been involved in various mission projects with his church and has visited many countries over the years. 

  

He first met Gareth in 1997 when Gareth was the speaker on an Oak Hall holiday. Subsequently he visited India with him and was thrilled to see the projects which AMEN was supporting in that land. He  visit India quite often taking people from UK to see the work being done by our partners.

   

Chris deals with all of the payments to partners and is also the person who keeps in regular contact with our partners in India.

 

Janet White

Janet is the Honorary Secretary of AMEN. She has lived in the Dartford area all her life and her friendship with Gareth goes back as far as their youth group days!  

    

Along with her husband, Keith, and their two sons, she plays an active part in Dartford Community Church. In her spare time she reads, knits and does cross stitch embroidery - but not all at the same time! 

     

Her other part time occupation is stuffing leaflets into envelopes for AMEN mailshots - and she is very good at it!

    

Chris and Sandra Lemming

Friends of Gareth and Malou who live in a small village in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Both have  retired from jobs in education to serve God. Chris has built and maintained Gareth and Malou’s web site for several years and has created the AMEN web site which you are now visiting. They have three grown up children and four very lively grandchildren. 

   

As well as being involved in AMEN they are chaplains to a large shopping centre in York and moderators of a Baptist Church in Hull. In addition to the web site, Chris keeps in regular contact with our partners in Philippines. Sandra keeps in regular contact with our volunteers and our partners in Europe.

   

Roger Cotterell

Roger provides back up by looking after the accounting. He and his wife, Ann, live in Worthing. They have two sons.

  

Roger worked for a major UK bank for 33 years, the last 16 of which were in Head Office in London. He took early retirement in 2000, and now divides his time between part time accounting with Chris Chatfield’s Compass Travel; and the Treasurer’s role at both River of Life Church, Worthing, and Link Romania, a Christian run charity providing aid and supporting projects in Romania.

  

He is a lover of music, principally jazz, and also enjoys country walking.

       

Trish Best

Trish is coordinating the Amen Child Sponsorship programme for Tender Heart.

       

Trish lives in Swansea and works as a teacher for a charity working with vulnerable adults. She teaches numeracy, literacy and computer skills.

 

She also volunteers as a counsellor in a Christian counselling centre and plays an active part in her local church. She has a heart for helping the most needy and vulnerable people and is excited about being involved in mission work. She has visited Tender Heart in Goa and is so blessed to see the lives of the Dalit people being transformed by God, through this ministry.
